Detailed data entry lets you see every field of the item and make changes to them from a single screen. This will likely be your preferred method of data entry if you want to enter a lot of information about a comic–such as a making extensive notes about the condition of a very valuable comic–or when you’re entering a new item that wasn’t previously in the database.

When you’re in Album view, you can perform detailed data entry by selecting an item then pressing enter (or double-clicking the item). Similarly, in Grid View, you can do detailed entry by clicking on the far-left column to select the row then pressing Enter, or just double-clicking the far-left column.

The fields shown will vary by the type of collectible you’re editing, as well as the edition of ComicBase you’re using (e.g. the value history and Custom fields only appear in ComicBase Professional or higher editions).

To edit information about the title as a whole (for instance, to change the title name or publisher), click the Edit Title Information button at the top of the screen.
